Each year the Gallatin Police Department hosts “Shop with a Cop” at our local Wal-Mart. Children from economically struggling families are paired with Gallatin Police, Sumner County EMA and Sheriffs, so that they can go Christmas shopping. For many of the children this event will be the only Christmas gifts they receive.
Of course, this event requires money in order to allow the children to shop. Each year, the Gallatin Police Department has held a golf tournament to raise funds for the event.
