GET READY FOR FIREWORKS AND FAMILY FUN AT GALLATIN’S 2022 INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS SHOW
Food trucks, Inflatables and a Wall of Foam at Triple Creek Park
GALLATIN – Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown is pleased to announce the City of Gallatin will host its 2022 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks on Monday, July 4th at Triple Creek Park. Festivities start at 3pm with fireworks beginning at approximately 9 p.m. The event also features food trucks, local vendors and activities for children.
“Gallatin loves our fireworks,” said Mayor Brown. “We encourage everyone to enjoy the show, time with your family and friends, and share the spirit of patriotism and good will with their neighbors and our community.”
The day’s main attraction, the City's Official Independence Day Fireworks, are presented by Pyro Shows of LaFollette, Tennessee. The fireworks show is 22 minutes long and includes 1,160 shells ranging from 2 ½” to 6”, which can reach 600 feet in the air.
Spectators in Gallatin are encouraged to enjoy the full fireworks experience by tuning in to radio station WHIN 100.7 FM to hear the musical score to which the show is choreographed.
Jessie Nanto of Pelican SnoBalls is the event organizer of Gallatin’s Independence Day festivities. Pelican offered to sponsor the event in mid-May after hearing no private partner was involved. “My fiancé is a fireman and my mom owns a building on the square. I just love Gallatin and Pelicans are great people and are really involved in the community.” As part of their contribution to the community event, they’ve secured nine large inflatables that include bounce houses and slides. Nanto also arranged for the following food trucks to serve at the event: Pelicans Snoballs, Hot Dog Cart, Mini Donut Daze, Persian Flame, Vonn's Stuffed Chicken, NyTy's, Cantrell's Grill, Chao Fan, Veronica's Café, After7flavor, Don Miguelito’s Tacos and Sherry Lynn's Concessions & Catering.
“I think for having limited time it’s coming together really well, and I feel very lucky to be part of this community,” said Nanto. Pelicans Snoballs opened in Gallatin in 2019 and is located at 817 S Water Avenue.
The Gallatin Fire Department will bring back the “bubble mountain,” a 50’ wide by 10’ high soap foam play area. The bubbles will start at 4pm and will continue for approximately an hour. The fire department also plans to have other interactive water-related activities to keep kids (and adults) cool and entertained. Freedom Church will also have a cooling mist fan and water available.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to park within Triple Creek Park. Once the parking lots are full or 30 minutes before the event, the park entrance will be closed. Those arriving late should consider parking at the Gallatin Civic Center (210 Albert Gallatin) or the Municipal Park (160 Municipal Park Drive), which is an approximate 20 minute walk. Limited viewing is available from these satellite parking sites. Freedom Church will provide a shuttle service from Municipal Park to Triple Creek before the event; however, attendees will have to walk back to their vehicles.
