Beer Permits

A beer permit is required for any person or entity to sell, store for sale, distribute for sale or manufacture beer.

The Gallatin Beer Board meets on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month at 8:00 A.M. The Board requests that the applicant or a representative be present at all meetings. 

Applications must be received by the City Recorder's Office fifteen (15) business days prior to the regularly scheduled monthly Beer Board Meeting. There is a privilege tax imposed on the business of selling, distributing, storing or manufacturing beer on an annual bases. Therefore, the pro-rated annual privilege tax will be due upon beer permit approval.   

There is a $250 nonrefundable application fee, per permit, due in advance by the applicant as a prerequisite to further consideration of the application.

Special Event Beer Permit

A special event beer permit is required when any person, organization or other entity is conducting an event during which beer is to be sold. 

Applications must be received by the City Recorder's Office fifteen (15) business days prior to the regularly scheduled monthly Beer Board Meeting. 

There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee due in advance by the applicant.
