HR provides management and oversight of employee services, benefits, and personnel policies and programs.
The role of the Department of Human Resources is to reach out to managers, build bridges and gain employee trust. HR provides management and oversight of employee services, benefits, and personnel policies and procedures and is responsible for the following major functional areas for the City of Gallatin:
HR Services: Benefits, employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification, salary administration, and performance management, employee and management training, oversees maintenance of personnel records.
HR Programs: compliance with state and federal laws, policy development, work/family issues, HR-related, emergency preparedness for employees, fosters community outreach and diversity in employment, charitable giving and other support programs.
HR Planning and Systems: Budget review of new position requests and organizational charts, HR communications, employee records, MUNIS HR functional customer support, data management and workforce reporting, project management, planning, change management, and special projects.
