Recorder's Office

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are facing a situation that requires some temporary changes in the way we do business.  This is a difficult time for many of us, but by working together we will be able to meet these challenges.

The health of our families and yours is top priority and meeting your business needs also remains a top priority for the Recorder’s Office and the City of Gallatin.   

The Recorder’s Office is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 -4:30.

The Office of the City Recorder is responsible for:
  • City Business Licenses
  • City Property Taxes
  • Collecting Utility Payments
  • Garbage Container Sales
  • Minutes of City Council and Committee Meetings
  • Municipal Court
  • Open Records Requests
  • Permits: Alarm, Beer, Chicken, Noise, Parade, Special Event, Solicitor, Taxicab and Transient Vendor
